Throughout her career, Leah has built and innovated dynamic multi-channel fundraising programs and led high capacity teams for progressive nonprofits and advocacy organizations.
Before joining Honeybee, Leah was the Senior Vice President of Development at Reproductive Freedom for All (formerly NARAL Pro-Choice America), where she led and expanded a multi-channel, multi-entity revenue program and oversaw the exponential growth of the organization’s fundraising program. Previously, she served as Director of Development for Giffords: Courage to Fight Gun Violence, where she created and implemented a sustainable development framework for the organization.
With over 20 years of experience, Leah has worked with candidates, campaigns, think tanks, and nonprofits. She began her career on various political campaigns, including roles with the Presidential nominating Convention and Inaugural Committees, the DCCC and U.S. House and Senate campaigns.
A proud midwesterner, Leah currently resides in Kansas City, MO with her husband and two children.

Approaching her work with a change management lens Melissa has strived to create systems and norms that reflect an organization’s values to manifest a positive work culture for everyone.
Melissa served in leadership roles at Reproductive Freedom for All, formerly NARAL, for over ten years. As Chief Development Officer she nearly tripled revenue over her tenure and as Managing Director she focused on the internal workings and management of the organization. A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Melissa began her career working in electoral politics serving in various leadership capacities on a number of electoral campaigns including as a regional finance director for two Democratic presidential campaigns and finance director for the 2012 Democratic Convention Host Committee, in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Melissa lives with her husband and daughter in Washington, DC.
